This Leeson brake kit is designed for use with NEMA 56C face motors, providing reliable braking with a 6 foot-pound rating. It replaces standard brake assemblies and is suitable for industrial motor applications requiring a NEMA 56C face and shaft output.

Product Features & Fitment

The brake kit features a double NEMA C face and mounts directly to the face and shaft of NEMA 56 face motors, providing a NEMA 56C face and shaft for the load. It can also be mounted to 143-5T face motors using the included optional hub. The overall length excluding the output shaft is 5 1/8". A 1/2" NPT hole with 15" leads is provided for electrical connection. The brake is totally enclosed and manufactured by Stearns. It is not suitable for overhung loads on the output shaft and can be mounted in any position, though vertical mounting may reduce disc life by approximately 20%.
