Product Features & Fitment

The WASHGUARD® coupler brake is specifically designed for use with LEESON WASHGUARD® motors, offering enhanced protection against high-pressure washdown and moisture exposure. It mounts directly to the face and shaft of NEMA 56C motors and provides a NEMA 56C face and shaft for the load. An optional hub (included) allows mounting to 143-5T face motors. The brake includes a 1/2" NPT hole with 15" leads for electrical connection and features totally enclosed construction.

Note that these brakes are not suitable for overhung loads on the output shaft and can be mounted in any position; however, vertical mounting may reduce disc life by approximately 20%. The brake is manufactured by Stearns.
