The Armstrong Model S-55 is a 1/2 HP in-line circulator pump designed for hydronic heating, cooling, domestic water systems, multi-stage zoning, and general industrial applications. It serves as a direct replacement for Bell & Gossett Series 100 Model PD-35S (105089), Armstrong previous model 106284-132, and Grainger 4RD13 pumps.

Product Features & Fitment

This pump features a maintenance-free design with permanently lubricated ball bearings and a stainless steel shaft, eliminating the need for oiling. It includes a hardware kit with mounting bolts and two rubber flange gaskets; however, the threaded flange is sold separately. The pump must be installed with the motor and pump in a horizontal position. Note that this pump is not designed for potable water systems and does not comply with the Safe Drinking Water Act. The standard three-piece cast iron design and industry-accepted flange configuration allow for quick pump replacements without pipe modifications.
