Economical Modular Design: Hughes Power Watchdog Gen II units feature a patented field-replaceable surge module design. Instead of incurring the cost of buying a whole new surge protector after a sacrificial surge event, the RSM50W lets you restore full protection yourself quickly and affordably.

Installation Instructions:

1. Safety First: Ensure the unit is completely unplugged and fully disconnected from all power sources prior to beginning installation.
2. Remove Back Panel: Unscrew the 6 Phillips screws on the back of the unit (or 7 screws on EPO models).
3. Loosen Cable Gland: Unscrew the top cable gland nut and slide it up the cord.
4. Remove Spent Module: Slide the old surge module out of its slot. Unclip the single red/black wire, loosen the screws holding the fork wire connectors to the wire leads, and unplug the old surge module from the unit.
5. Connect New Module: Connect the new RSM50W surge module and wires according to the terminal designations: "G" is ground (green color), "N" is neutral (white color), and "L" is line.
6. Reassemble Unit: Slide the new module into place, replace all housing screws, and re-tighten the cable gland nuts securely.
