This Stearns brake kit is designed to convert compatible Leeson electric motors into brake-motor applications. It replaces the standard motor rear cover with a brake assembly, providing up to 6 foot-pounds of static torque for controlled stopping.

Product Features & Fitment

The kit installs easily on the rear of select Leeson electric motors and includes all necessary mounting hardware. Kit sizing is based on the NEMA frame and the required static torque for the application. Note that the brake supports a start/stop cycle of no more than one stop per minute when used with a motor and reducer.
