This Waterway Executive 48-Frame spa pump is designed to replace existing spa pumps in hot tubs, bath tubs, Jacuzzi tubs, and whirlpool tubs. It features a 1.5 hp motor with two-speed operation and a side discharge configuration for versatile installation.

Product Features & Fitment

The pump includes two 400-9230 unions compatible with 1-1/2" PVC pipe, with 3-inch threaded inlet and outlet connections. The wet end can be rotated by loosening the motor through bolts, allowing the discharge to be positioned as needed for installation convenience. Note that this pump is not self-priming and requires the water level to be above the pump head for proper operation.

Due to the lack of industry standardization for unions, the supplied unions must be used, which may require removing existing unions. If the heater is directly coupled to the wet end, this pump may not be compatible. The motor does not include a power cord; wiring should be marked for common, high speed, and low speed connections. The motor nameplate provides the wiring diagram.
