Product Features & Fitment

This brake kit mounts directly to the face and shaft of NEMA 56 face motors, providing a double NEMA C face and shaft for the load. It includes a shaft bushing and an optional hub for mounting to 143-5T face motors. The output face and shaft conform to NEMA 56C standards. A 1/2" NPT conduit hole with 15" leads is provided for electrical connection. The brake features totally enclosed construction and is manufactured by Stearns. It can be mounted in any position; however, vertical mounting may reduce disc life by approximately 20%. Note that these brakes are not suitable for overhung loads on the output shaft.
