The AST165 is a 1.5 horsepower swimming pool pump motor designed to replace common inground pool pumps such as Hayward Super Pump, Maxflo, and Super II models requiring a 56J frame motor. It is a standard 1081 pump duty motor suitable for reliable pool pump operation.

Product Features & Fitment
This motor features automatic overload protection and a C-face mount with a round body design (no base). It includes four threaded bolt holes on the face for pump mounting, spaced 5 7/8" on center across the shaft. The motor comes with a wiring diagram on the nameplate for easy installation. It is commonly used as a direct replacement for Century UST1152 and EUST1152 models.
Please note that this motor does not comply with California and New York energy efficiency regulations for single-speed pool pumps. Customers in these states should verify local codes and consider upgrading to a variable speed motor, such as the Century EVC165 1.65 THP Variable Speed Motor, to meet current requirements.
