The EB981 is a 3/4 HP, 2-speed square flange pool motor designed as a direct replacement for various in-ground pool pumps, including PacFab Challenger, Whisperflo, and Pentair models. It replaces Century B981 and B2981 motors and is suitable for use in residential and commercial pool pump applications.

Product Features & Fitment

This motor features automatic overload protection with a service factor of 1.67 and is designed for non-reversible counterclockwise rotation when facing the shaft. It is intended as a square flange replacement motor for in-ground pool pumps and is compatible with many popular pump brands.

Please note that due to regulatory changes effective July 19, 2021, this motor does not comply with California Title 20 or New York NYSERDA efficiency standards for single and two-speed pumps. Shipping restrictions apply in these states, and variable speed motors are recommended to meet current and upcoming regulations.
