Century Swimming Pool & Spa Motors
Safety Vacuum Release Systems (SVRS) such as the Century Guardian motor are designed to prevent body suction entrapment.
They do not prevent mechanical entrapment, hair entanglement, limb entrapment, or evisceration (disembowelment).
Features:
  • The motor with an SVRS built into it.
  • Compatible with all flow rates
  • Facilitates no main drain pool designs in place of equalizer line.
Guardian® shuts off the motor/pump when the water level drops below the skimmer
  • Reduces pump, motor and seal damage.
  • Guardian® shuts off the motor/pump if any of the following occurs: locked rotor, loss of prime,
    or abnormal voltage variations.
  • Detects clogged or blocked filters and shuts down the pump.
  • AO Smith Guardian is listed to the ASME A112.19.17 SVRS standard for suction lift applications

Warning: SVRS does not protect against the four other types of entrapment: Hair entanglement,
mechanical entrapment, limb entrapment, evisceration/disembowelment.
SVRS is not a substitute for proper drain covers. All drains should be equipped with covers
that are in good condition and are marked "ASME/ANSI A1122,19,8,2007"

Note: Motor should be installed by a qualified technician. Please review the install manual.
This is not just a simple motor swap.
