The Century B2842 is a 1.5 horsepower, 3450 RPM pool motor designed as a direct replacement for various in-ground pool pumps. It is compatible with models such as PacFab Challenger, Whisperflo, and Pentair, and replaces Century/AO Smith B842 and US Electric EB842 motors.

Product Features & Fitment
This motor features an automatic overload protection system with a service factor of 1.47 and is non-reversible. It mounts using a square flange with four non-threaded bolt holes, ensuring compatibility with many common in-ground pool pumps. Note that shipping restrictions apply due to state energy regulations; this motor does not comply with California Title 20 or New York NYSERDA standards. For compliance, upgrading to a variable speed motor such as the Century EVQ225 2.25THP is recommended.
