The Century B2979 is a 2 horsepower, two-speed swimming pool pump motor designed to replace Century B979 and US Electric EB979 models. It is commonly used on inground pool pumps such as Hayward Super Pump, Maxflo, and Super II, featuring a 56J frame and 230V single-phase power.

Product Features & Fitment
This energy-efficient two-speed motor includes automatic overload protection with a service factor of 1.20. It features a stainless steel shaft and sealed ball bearings for durability. The motor has four threaded bolt holes on the face for mounting, spaced 5 7/8" on center across the shaft. Note that this motor does not include a power cord or a high/low toggle switch.
