The USVF-24D is a single-phase to three-phase inverter designed to operate standard 208/230V three-phase AC motors using a 230V single-phase input. It replaces the KB Electronics KBVF-24D and is ideal for powering three-phase machinery such as mills, lathes, and drill presses in environments with single-phase power supply.

Product Features & Fitment

This inverter delivers 100% three-phase power output with over 200% starting torque, ensuring reliable motor startup and operation. It includes a speed potentiometer for adjustable speed control and jumper selections for forward-stop-reverse and enable-automatic-manual modes. The unit operates both 50Hz and 60Hz motors with sinewave coded PWM for efficient and quiet motor performance at a 16 kHz switching frequency.

For installation, the motor must be wired directly to the inverter terminals, bypassing any existing motor starters or switches to prevent damage. The speed potentiometer must be connected; otherwise, the motor will not run and may be damaged. This unit is not recommended for use with air compressors or fan-cooled (TEFC) motors running at reduced speeds under full load without proper load reduction. The inverter should be powered through an electric power disconnect for safety.
