48Y Square Flange  - Threaded Shaft
This motor is common to Sta-Rite in ground pool pumps.
Square Mounting flange has 4 non-threaded bolt holes.
Shaft is 5/8" diameter with threads on end.
We recommend replacing the mechanical pump seal when replacing motor.
48Y frame is 5 1/2" in diameter, has same flange as 56Y, just smaller diameter motor
WARNING: Depending on your pool configuration, a SVRS (Safety Vacuum Release System) motor may be required to meet local, state and federal Requirements. Some states, such as California, may require a two-speed or variable speed motor as a one speed motor is illegal according to that states rules & regulations.
